The session will share up-to-date information and knowledge relating to safeguarding under Ofsted’s revised Common Inspection Framework (CIF). We will raise considerations for preparation for inspection and help you to ensure you are meeting SCR requirements.
The session will:
- Clarify what’s mandatory and what’s optional on a Single Central Register
- Provide advice on gathering information for pre-employment vetting checks.
- Explain what Ofsted are looking for when inspecting safeguarding in maintained schools, academies and early years’ settings in relation to staff, documentation and policies and procedures
- Look at what changes have been made to the statutory checks
We will also take you through what information needs to be captured for your SCR and how you can do that in FACE-Ed, our applicant tracking system and give you a first preview of our new SCR module in SAMpeople.
You will leave with the knowledge and confidence that your Single Central Register is up-to-date and compliant with Ofsted requirements, or if it is not, an action plan of what you need to do.
